Knollside Lodge is a spacious detached Victorian house built in 1895. On arrival we show you your dinning room and sitting room you are then offered a glass of sherry. We provide a bowl of fresh fruit to refresh you after your journey, which is topped up through out your stay. We are a no smoking establishment, although smoking is permitted in the garden. Sorry we cannot accept pets.
Facilities include: All Rooms en-suite, Colour television with video, tea/coffee making, radio clock alarms, Hair dryer and trouser press, Comfortable easy chairs/settees/suite. Some rooms with sea views.
Our bedrooms have been called Oxburgh, Felbrigg and Blickling after the National Trust houses in the area. They are spacious and well equipped. The bed linen and towels are all white and of a good quality, full compliment of Norfolk Lavender toiletries are provided and all rooms are en-suite with either large corner baths with showers or shower tub. We have King size and Super King beds and now have a lovely king size cedar Four Poster bed with matching wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets. Twin beds are available upon request.
Guests sitting room where you may read or natter, (no television in sitting room). Plenty of local reading material, we have a chest of drawers where you can find chess, cards, draughts, jigsaws and various games to play with. Also provided is letter writing material.
For breakfast we provide normally two different coloured fresh grapefruits segments, figs, prunes and apricots. There are four different cereals to choose from and yogurts. For the main course we have local butchers sausages, bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, baked beans, fried egg, hash browns and toast, marmalade and conserves, tea and fresh coffee, orange juice.

We are situated opposite the path with leads you to the promenade and beach, just a few steps further on there is the pathway to Beeston Bump where a magnificent view of Sheringham, Beeston and Cromer Church can be seen, not to mention the east hills of Wells-next-the-sea on a fine day. We are just a few minuets walk into the heart of Sheringham yet away from the madding crowd. There is a lot to do in the area. We have three Golf courses, Sheringham Runton and Cromer. There is a gymnasium and tropical swimming pool near by, horse riding, sea fishing and many other recreational pursuits. Not to mention the Stately homes in the North Norfolk area. There is also a train service, bus service and a good supply of taxis. Sheringham its self has retained all the charm of a fishing village and still has a number of fishermen. There are a super range of shops including wonderful dress shops. Specialized cheese shop, a delightful old fashioned hardware store, fudge shop, wet fish shop, grazier/butchers, good quality fruit and vegetable shop and a very helpful needle craft shop, nearly forgot the mens sport and model shop, two good wine stores and many more shops for the tourist. There are good restaurants and Inns to replenish you. We also have a market on Wednesday and Saturday, our own theatre and many concerts in the Church.
The RNLI has one old Life Boat on show, the "Henery Ramey" and another three which are awaiting a museum to house them. You may also look over our current Life Boat.
