Common House

Mill Common House is an elegant Georgian farmhouse, set in a quiet rural location close to the market town of North Walsham and only one mile from sandy beaches. Standing in its own mature grounds, beside the original brick and flint farm buildings dating back more than 200 years, you are assured of a warm and friendly welcome by the owners, John and Wendy Pugh. A large conservatory and open log fires on cooler days, all add to the relaxed atmosphere and surroundings, typical of comfortable, stylish living. Mill Common House is an ideal place to stay, for a short break, playing the fine golf courses of Sheringham, Cromer or Norwich (all within easy reach), cycling through the rolling open countryside or even day sailing on the Norfolk Broads. It also makes a perfect centre for visiting the Royal house at Sandringham, the numerous National Trust properties or the many open gardens (The Old Vicarage East Ruston is only a mile away) and ancient Norfolk churches - Norfolk is a county of 1000 historic churches. Excellent bird watching, walking and many more relaxing pursuits of this peaceful part of Norfolk can also be reached easily. Mill Common House combines a homely atmosphere, good location and the best of English tradition, for bed and breakfast or short breaks. Guests are welcome to use the large, well furnished sitting room and dining room, which are joined by the Victorian styled, palatial conservatory, where breakfast is usually served amongst an interesting variety of flowering plants, vines and trees. |
